Woldmarsh Membership
Woldmarsh is made up of 22 regional cells with all members dealing with the central office at Louth. Potential members join one of the cells, these groups allow networking, the exchange of ideas and a forum to meet neighbouring farmers and maintain a local focus for individual farmer members.
All benefits Woldmarsh negotiate are passed directly back to members. Woldmarsh costs are covered via a quarterly turnover charge. This is on a sliding scale dependant on turnover. The average member charge is less than 1%.
A basic confidential financial check is carried out on all potential members and new members need to provide two years accounts prior to joining. (Please note, no financial details will be disclosed and it is primarily the balance sheet rather than the profit and loss we are interested in).
The name of the applicant is circulated to existing members of the group they are wishing to join, they are asked to confirm acceptance of the potential member.
Direct Debit
Members receive a monthly statement summarising the purchases. All original invoices are attached to the back of the statement for the members' records. The member receives the statement in the first five days of the month. Any disputed or queried invoices can be put on hold until resolved; following this money is collected from members via direct debit on the 20th of the month. Suppliers are paid by BACS IP at the same time.
Woldmarsh continue to recruit new members to increase its purchasing power and keep member charges to a minimum.
